Well, my vacation is almost over. I go back to work Saturday, October 28. I wish it could last a bit longer. I am sure enjoying it. My birthday was yesterday, October 26. I am 49 years old. WOW!!!!! Time sure does fly!!!!!
I had a great birthday. Garry played his guitar and serenaded me. (OOOOHHHHH, I am his number 1 fan. ) He bought me roses, got me a birthday card (SOOOO BEAUTIFUL) and got me a cake.
WOW what a lovely week it has been.

MY MOM

This is one of my favorite photos of my mom and I in Texas around 1959. We lived there for about three months while my dad had a job building a house. My brother Lee was there too. But my other brother Dickie and my sister Kim wasn't born yet.

What a joy it was to talk to my mom this past Sunday. She is so proud of me of being a published author and having my first book published. She has told her friend up in Indiana about my book. Now her friend wants to buy my book. WOW! That is very exciting. My family is all proud of me, too. It's a great feeling! It makes me want to keep on writing and have more books published. Hopefully I'll have my manuscript ready by January, 2007 for my second book.

I love you, Mom. And I am proud to be your daughter.
My mom is a great woman, a great mom, a great wife to my dad, a great friend to her friends, a great daughter to her parents. She has never cheated on my dad. She's a great hard worker.
When we were kids, she made sure we have Christmas presents under the tree. Throughout the year, she would babysit and every penny of it would go into a Christmas savings so we would have a Christmas. May God bless my mom.
She just turned 70 years old last month. WOW. Time sure flies.

MY DAD

My dad passed away 10 years ago last month. There are some things that I wish I had said to him and some things that I wish I didn't say to him. But it's too late now! HE'S GONE!
I wish I told him more often "I love you" and called him up more often. BUT I DIDN'T!

He's a great dad, a great husband to my mom, a great friend to his friends, a great son to his parents, a great man. He never cheated on my mom. He was a hard worker. He was a great carpenter. He could build houses from scratch and build about almost anything.

I know if he was alive now, he would been proud of me... I have a great man now, Garry Snyder, who treats me very special with respect and makes me feel like I'm in 7th Heaven 24/7... ...I 'm a newly published author and a poetess. I have come a long way!

We need to stop and smell the roses. Give a lending hand to the ones who needs our help. Tell your dad, your mom, spouse or partner or boyfriend or girlfriend, your child(ren), your brother(s), your sister(s), your friend(s), your relatives that you love them, give them a hug and a smile. Do it now; not wait until tomorrow. Tomorrow may never come . Only God knows for he can take ours or theirs breath away like a thief coming in the middle of the night just like that. Don't procrastinate; it might be too late. Don't have regrets. Do it now while they are still alive.

Have a great day. Remember live your dreams. Believe in your dreams and believe in you.
